But the region’s police have issued an alert in J&K region due to a series of terrorist attacks in the past several days. What does the police alert in Jammu and Kashmir say?
Jammu and Kashmir Police have issued an alert that says that certain anti-national elements may target the newly formed Union Territory. This alert came after there were several terrorist attacks on the region in the past several days. The alert warns that the terrorists might attack soft targets to create panic in the territory.
The police told the media that a group of militants hurled a grenade on Wednesday and fired on security personnel. The attack took place in the CRPF Naka, SBI Rajpura Chowk branch in the south Kashmir district of Pulwama at around 8:50 pm. The police said that the militants started attacking the police and CRPF personnel. Fortunately, there was no casualty. But the attack creates a tense situation.
Besides this, there was an attack on a civilian in which militants of Habaddakal locality fired on the civilian and killed him. According to sources, the victim was a twenty-five-year-old boy named Umar. The police took him to the nearest SMHS hospital, but due to a gunshot in the chest, he could not survive.
Amidst these concerns, the police havehe could not survive issued an alert and started searching for the attackers.
All the details about the all-party meet
Under this all-party meet, several regional political parties of Jammu and Kashmir will hold talks with the hon’ble PM Narendra Modi. The meet was to take place on Thursday. The meeting will have 14 leaders, including four ex-chief ministers of Jammu and Kashmir, like Farooq Abdullah, Ghulam Nabi Azad, Omar Abdullah, and Mehbooba Mufti. The meeting is in the limelight because it will be the first meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and various politicians from Jammu and Kashmir after the abrogation of the special status.
Interestingly the leaders did not decide on any particular agenda for the meeting. But the Gupkar alliance told the media that they will go with open mind and would like to know the center’s plans for Jammu and Kashmir.

Harnaaz Sandhu, a 21 year old from India, represented India at the 70th Miss Universe 2021 which was held at Eilat, Israel.
In 2000, Lara Dutta won the title of Miss Universe.

Farmer union to meet the government to decide on further movement
The proposal from the government which addresses the pending issues has been accepted by farmer unions and the farmer union will be meeting the government on Thursday (9th December 2021) at noon.

The farmer union, SKM (Samyukta Kisan Morcha) accepted the government proposal which addresses the pending issues of farmers.
It was on Tuesday (7th December 2021) when the central government sent the draft to the farmer union which is a five-member committee. Sources have indicated that once the final draft of the proposal agreed by both the parties is received by the union, the farmers’ protest which started on 26 November 2020 will end.
The issues listed in the draft were Surety on Minimum Support Price, withdrawal of the draft Electricity Amendments Bill, 2020/2021, withdrawal of criminal cases against the farmers, and also compensation for the families of farmers who died during the protest.
The SKM said that they will be meeting the government at Singhu Border on Thursday at noon to come up with a formal decision and later end the protest.
