India Wins 7 Medals in the Olympics 2021, 1 Gold, 2 Silver and 4 Bronze

Tokyo Olympics 2021:

Tokyo Olympics 2021 had games such as Badminton, Archery, Hockey, Shooting, Wrestling, and 23 other games. India at Olympics, a total of 129 Indian Athletes reached on the grounds for the Tokyo Olympics out of which 67 Indian Athletes were male and the rest 52 were females. The participants had reported and started with their participation in the games. All the Covid-19 protocols and safety measures were followed throughout the game. After a mandatory covid test, all participants were allowed to take part in the Tokyo Olympics

India at Olympics grabbed a total of 7 medals. 1 Gold, 2 Silver medals, and 4 bronze medals. India had broken its record of 2020 in which it bagged 6 medals in total and in the year 2021 it had a total of 7 medals in its name. The name of the players who have won the medals are listed below:

1. Neeraj Chopra- Gold

2. Ravi Kumar Dahiya and Mirabai Chanu – Silver

3. P V Sindhu, Lovlina Borgohain, Indian Hockey Team, and Bajrang Punia bagged Bronze.

Neeraj Chopra’s winning of Gold in Javelin throw made all the Indians proud and even the international players conveyed wishes as an 86.58-meter Javelin throw is itself a record and it could be beaten by anyone. The Indians were waiting for a long time for gold and Neeraj Chopra did it.

Ravi Kumar Dahiya- Silver

 In the 57 Kg wrestling category, Ravi Kumar Dahiya made it to the finals but could not make it up to gold. He bagged a silver which is itself an achievement in Indian history. He had an extreme semi-final which would later be read like stories in the forthcoming years.

Mirabai Chanu- Silver medalist

Mirabai Chanu- Silver medalist

In the 49 Kg weightlifting category, Mirabai Chanu aced it. She proved how you can be what you wish to be. She said that how she used to make her way along with the stadium by taking lifts from passing trucks and the way she had managed to grab a medal, will be an inspiration for millions. 

P.V Sindhu- Bronze medalist

P.V Sindhu- Bronze medalist

P.V Sindhu, well know for her badminton games has bagged a bronze medal in the Women’s singles Badminton game. She has been the first female athlete who has achieved 2 silver medals and all Indians wish that this aspiring girl touches extreme heights.

Lovlina Borgohain – Bronze medalist

Under the women’s welterweight boxing, Lovlina Borgohain made it to the bronze medal. Throughout her journey, her parents supported her. She is a resident of Assam, Golaghat district, and has made it to a bronze medal.

Indian Hockey Team- Bronze

After a longing of 40 years, the Indian hockey team made it to bronze this time. It was for the very first time that India had qualified for the Semifinals in hockey. The women’s team also made it to the Semi-finals, aced the game. The performance of both Indian teams is worth appreciation.

Bajrang Punia- Bronze

Bajrang Punia- Bronze

In the wrestling 65 Kg category, Bajrang Punia grabbed a bronze medal. He has also managed to win many gold medals in events and this time he won a bronze in Tokyo Olympics, making Indians proud.

All the medalists of India at Olympics, as well as the participants, have performed exceptionally well in the Tokyo Olympics and all performances are worth appreciation.

A Mishap During Dussehra Car Ploughs Into The Crowd

Introduction 

On Friday, a mishap during Dussehra occurred, a ganja laden vehicle ploughed into the crowd, killing one and injuring over 20 people. The person who died has been recognized as Gaurav Agarwal, 20. The culprits are under police custody. The incident is of Pathalgaon.

On Friday (15 October 2021), a vehicle with ganja in it ploughed into the procession of Dussehra. It raced away from the police check post and then hit the crowd in Jashpur, Chhattisgarh. The incident took the life of one and injured more than 20 people out of which 4 are serious. The incident footage was caught on mobile cameras and it is a reminder of the deaths in Lakhimpur Kheri. 

Two men in the car were chased by villagers for 15 km after which they were caught. The villagers chased them on motorcycles and later the car was set on fire. The two men were beaten and handed to the police. Vijay Agarwal, the SP, said after investigating that the car and the two men belonged from Madhya Pradesh’s Singrauli. The Durga immersion procession didn’t have a police escort and hence a police officer was suspended under the charge of negligence. 

The car is a maroon Xylo rams which came in high speed. 

Villagers block the highway, demands justice

The villagers tried to stop the car but nothing happened. After the mishap during Dussehra, villagers encircled the police station and blocked the Gumla-Katni highway demanding justice and 1 crore compensation for the deceased. Bhupesh Baghel, the chief minister, said justice will be given and no one will be spared. 

Conclusion

Raman Singh, former chief minister and BJP vice-president said that the chief minister must visit the family and give compensation of Rs 50 lakh. He made a video statement adding that the incident is proof of deterioration of law and order.

During a meeting of the congress working committee, Sonia Gandhi, an interim President after the resignation of Rahul Gandhi two years ago said that she has always appreciated frankness and also said there is no need to engage media and speak through them.

She said internal elections are scheduled before the pandemic in June this year. It requires discipline and  self-control . Also she is well known of the fact that she has been interim Congress President since the congress working committee asked her to return in 2019

Sonia Gandhi to G-23 said that General Secretary Venugopal Ji will brief you about the entire process and five you the clarity once and for all. A schedule for organizing elections is before you.

She also told us about the preparations and difficulty faced by the party. The Congress Party has faced many challenges but they are united and disciplined on the party’s interests alone and they are confident that they will do well.

About the Meeting

Sonia Gandhi, Lok Sabha MP Rahul Gandhi, and GS Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, and other senior people such as ex Union Minister P Chidambaram and the Bhupesh Baghel l,Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh (Bhupesh Baghel) and charanjit channi, chief minister of Punjab and 57 others are meeting today for the meeting. Also the members of G-23 will be present.

Nihang Sikh Detained Singhu border murder case

Introduction 

Nihang who is a member of the warrior Singh order surrendered to the Haryana police. Nihang sikh detained and he claims to take full responsibility for the murder that took place on the Singhu border. On Friday early morning a corpse was found at a farmers’ protest site on the Delhi Haryana border. 

Singhu border murder case 

It was on 15th October 2021, early Friday morning when a semi-naked and mutilated corpse was found at the site of farmers’ protest from a police barricade which was upside down at Delhi Haryana border. The right foot and left hand were cut off from the victim’s body.

On Friday (15th October 2021), Haryana Police took hold of one person involved in the Singhu border murder case. ‘Nihang’ surrendered to the police taking the whole responsibility for the murder. 

On Friday evening, Nihang Sikh Saravjit Singh surrendered to police and he will be produced before the court on Saturday (16th October 2021).

The family of the victim is seeking justice. The victim’s name is Lakhbir, 35 and resided in Cheema Khurd village in Tarn Taran district of Punjab. His sister spoke to ANI and said that the reason for his death and who did it to him is unknown to them but they want justice at the earliest. 

The Superintendent of Sonipat Police said that clues have been found at the crime scene. Investigating the reason for the victim’s death, Nihang said that the victim desecrated the holy scripture – Sarbaloh Granth and that is the reason he killed him. 

Conclusion

The Kisan Morcha has subsided themselves and said in a press statement that they have no connection with the murder, Nihang Sikh and the victim. They offered support to the police. M L Khattar, the Chief Minister of Haryana held a meeting to discuss the matter at his residence and told him actions will be taken.
